Visit an Alpine lodge in the romantic Justistal Valley to find out how real Alpine cheese is made. The cheesemaker will be happy to answer your questions. You’ll also be served a small Alpine farmer’s meal.

The St. Beatus caves at the Lake Thun are a famous tourist attraction in the Bernese Oberland. Since 1904 guests from all over the world have visited the caves. The new offer allows you to enjoy a candle light swiss raclette in the St. Beatus caves. This experience will provide you with unforgettable moments.

Guest program «Eisstockschiessen»
Ice sport enthusiasts, watch out! On request from the middle of December to the middle of March the new guest offer “Eisstockschiessen” takes place on the synthetic ice field behind the Tourist-Center. If you are interested, register at the Tourist-Center (+41 (0)33 841 18 18). A local specialist will explain the rules and show you some techniques. In conclusion we offer you delicious mulled wine to warm you up afterwards.
Llamas belong to the family of camels (called New World Camelids). They were domesticated about 5000 years ago on the high plains of Peru and are thus among the oldest pets in the world. Walk together with the charming llama ladies through the landscape of Beatenberg. Your guide will love to tell you interesting stories and information about the llamas and the beautiful scenery. This customizable tour with the llamas is a great excursion for young and old. Llamas are intelligent, curious, calm, lovable-just extraordinary.

Experience ibex and Alpine roses up close and personal: the early bird really does get the worm. As the first visitors of the day, you’ll be taken up the Niederhorn on a special trip. A local wildlife specialist will accompany you towards the Gemmenalphorn to the ibex colonies. With a bit of luck, you’ll also discover chamois, groundhogs and the king of the air - the golden eagle.
